About the Bambu Lab H2D
Upgrade your 3D printing with Bambu Lab H2D, a dual-head 3D printer combining fast and efficient multi-colour printing, laser engraving, and digital cutting in one platform. The H2D was named one of TIME’s Best Inventions of 2025. It is sold as the printer alone (Standard), as an AMS Combo with the AMS 2 Pro, as two AMS Combo bundles that add an AMS HT or a second AMS 2 Pro, and as a Laser Full Combo with a 10W or 40W laser module and a cutting module.

Connecting AMS units: one or two AMS 2 Pro units connect with nothing extra. For three or more, Bambu Lab specifies the 4-in-1 PTFE Adapter II (SA014); see our Bambu 4-in-1 PTFE Adapter page for the H2 series version. To dry filament in more than one AMS 2 Pro at the same time, each additional unit needs its own Switching Adapter.

Laser safety (Laser Full Combo)
The laser module is a Class 4 laser product, and “when the printer’s protection is complete and properly working, the printer and laser module work as a class 1 laser product”, says Bambu Lab. Bambu Lab’s laser safety document says: “This device is not recommended for operation by minors. Please place the device in a location inaccessible to them to prevent accidents.” It also says “When the laser module is working, ensure the area near the device is free from bystanders, children, and pets”, “The laser module stops working if the front door, top glass cover, or safety window is opened” and “Always ensure a person is present to supervise the laser module in operation to promptly address any fire hazard.” Bambu Lab asks that the smoke exhaust system is correctly installed (the Laser Full Combo includes a ventilation pipe) and that materials that could release harmful gases, such as PVC, are not laser engraved or cut.

Bambu Lab questions
H2S, H2D or H2C: which is better?
They share a 350 °C nozzle, a 120 °C bed, a chamber heated to 65 °C, 1,000 mm/s top speed and HEPA filtration. Pick the H2S for the largest single-nozzle build (340 x 320 x 340 mm) at the lowest H series price. Pick the H2D for two nozzles, so one print can mix two materials, and a 10 W or 40 W laser combo. Pick the H2C for two nozzles plus Bambu Lab’s Vortek system of six swappable induction hotends, which Bambu Lab says cuts the filament wasted on colour changes.
Which version should I choose?
Standard is the printer alone. The AMS Combo adds an AMS 2 Pro, and two AMS Combo bundles add an AMS HT or a second AMS 2 Pro, each shipped in its own box. The Laser Full Combo adds a 10W or 40W laser module and a blade cutting module. The Bundles list in the overview shows every item.
Is the H2D good for beginners?
The H2D uses the same Bambu Studio software as the rest of the range, but much of what you pay for is the second nozzle, the heated chamber and the laser options. If you are new to 3D printing and do not need two materials in one print, the P2S and P1S print a 256 mm cube, in several colours with an AMS, for far less.
Can a school use the laser combos?
The H2S, H2D and H2C Laser Full Combos add a laser module that Bambu Lab rates Class 4 on its own and Class 1 as a complete system when the printer’s protection is complete and working. Bambu Lab’s laser safety document says the device “is not recommended for operation by minors”, asks for a trained person to supervise the laser at all times, and for the smoke exhaust to be installed. In a school, that means a staff-run lab, not students operating the laser.
What warranty comes with it?
Bambu Lab gives a 2-year warranty on its printers and on the AMS, AMS 2 Pro and AMS HT in Canada. It needs a purchase receipt from Bambu Lab or an authorized reseller, and as an authorized reseller our receipt qualifies. Bambu Lab’s warranty statement is written for individual consumers, so schools and businesses should ask us about coverage before ordering.
