Makedo Starter Kit, 36 pieces
This is all you need to get started. Try Makedo for the first time with this basic starter pack or use it to top up your existing Makedo. With the included Mini-Tool, it is ready to use out of the box so you will be constructing with cardboard in no time.
The Starter Kit holds connectors and a driver only, so you build with boxes as they come or cut them with a Safe-Saw sold separately.

Age and safety
Recommended for ages 5+ (4+ with an adult, 7+ independently). Safety tested to an age grading of 3+ and made without PVC, BPA, phthalates or lead; conforms to ASTM F963, CPSIA, EN-71, AS/NZS 8124 and Canada SOR/2011-17, says Makedo.
Warning: choking hazard, small parts. Not for children under 3 years.

Makedo questions
What age group is the Makedo Starter Kit recommended for?
The same as the rest of the range: Makedo recommends it for ages 5+, and it is safety tested to an age grading of 3+. The Starter Kit is 28 Scru, 7 Scru+ and one Mini-Tool. The screws are small parts, so the pack carries a choking hazard warning.
Does it come with a saw?
No. The Starter Kit holds connectors and a Mini-Tool only, so you build with boxes as they come or cut them with a Safe-Saw sold on its own. The Explore Kit adds a Safe-Saw and a Scru-Driver.
What is the difference between Scru and Scru+?
The Scru joins up to three layers of corrugated cardboard; the longer Scru+ joins up to five. Both turn with the same Scru-Driver or Mini-Tool. We stock refills on their own: Scru 180, Scru+ 120 and the Scru Combo 160 (120 Scru and 40 Scru+).
Is Makedo reusable?
Yes. Turn a Scru the other way with the Scru-Driver or Mini-Tool and it comes out, ready for the next build. Makedo’s own cycle is find a box, make, play and reuse. Use only Makedo’s tools on the Scru: Makedo says metal tools such as socket wrenches and power driver bits damage it beyond repair.
