How to use the Fold-Roller: with firm pressure, glide the toothed wheel across the cardboard surface, then simply fold along the dashed line that you have created. You can also use the Fold-Roller to help younger makers by tracing out the cutting lines that they can then follow with the Makedo Safe-Saw.

Age and safety
Recommended for ages 5+ (4+ with an adult, 7+ independently). Safety tested to an age grading of 3+ and made without PVC, BPA, phthalates or lead; conforms to ASTM F963, CPSIA, EN-71, AS/NZS 8124 and Canada SOR/2011-17, says Makedo.

Makedo questions
How does the Fold-Roller work?
Press firmly and glide the toothed wheel across the cardboard, then fold along the dashed line it leaves. It also traces cutting lines for younger makers to follow with the Safe-Saw.
How durable are Makedo tools?
The Safe-Saw and Fold-Roller have high grade stainless steel blades that, Makedo says, need no sharpening over time. The tools and screws are reusable, and Makedo says every version of the Scru since 2013 works with today’s tools. Makedo does not publish a warranty period.
What age is Makedo for?
Makedo recommends the system for ages 5 and up, and every Makedo product is independently safety tested to an age grading of 3+. In Makedo’s words, children aged 4+ can make with the assistance of an adult, and children aged 7+ can make independently.
